What Now? What Have I Been Up To?

Oh deer, it's been a month since I last posted.  Anyways, what now? What do I intend to do with this blog?  Honestly, I've no idea what to do with this now other than turn it into a sort of here-are-my-thoughts-for-the-day sort of blog. Maybe I'll note some interesting things in my life here, make a few comments on society, etc, but right now I don't know for sure. I guess we'll just go with flow and roll with whatever comes to mind. So what have I been up to this summer? Between going out with family, going out with friends, camps, and general in-city travelling, I've been resting and recuperating to prepare for the up and coming school year. Knowing that I'll feel extremely drained each and every day for the entire year until next summer, I want to go into the school year with as much energy as I can.  Now to doze off... Toodles~

Post-Hemingway Headache and Into Shakespeare

Almost a week has past since I read Hemingway's A Movable Feast for my memoir review. A friend of mine commented on the fact that his writing reads as how many people sound when they talk. It brought me to think about the concept of individuals putting unnecessary words into speech. For example, "Like, there are, like, um, four of them over, like there." Funny. Isn't it funny how, if you were to take the way you speak and write it out, it is most likely to be cringe-worthy material? I can assure you mine would be filled with a lot of backspacing and striking through as I replace a previously said statement with a newer, more relevant one. Begs the question on how human speech seems more relaxed than that of writing. Granted, writing (texting) can also be relaxed and just as cringing to watch. Moving on, the Shakespeare unit has begun and I can say I'm already in a state of chaos. I haven't quite found the time to read the whole play in chronological order a

Greetings Humans

Hi. I was told to create a blog and introduce myself, ergo here I am. My name is Jessica and I am currently 16. I tend to be very extra in everyday life and writing, but prefer simplicity on the whole. There are people who have described me as being "chill" to which I question because I am extra extra. Not dramatic extra, but extra loud (sometimes) and extra expressive. On the other hand, I can also be an emotionless and motionless vegetable, so...I guess "chill" does somewhat apply to my personality. Some things I enjoy are: sleep, exercise, video games, music, and art. What I do in my spare time consists of wallowing in a pit of despair, making stuff, questioning human existence, philosophically questioning the world, and watching Youtube videos. However, most of my available time is now geared towards passing eclass this session. If there is anything interesting going on in my summer, it is that I will be away at two camps during the first session of eclass
